About the Author:Edward S. Casey is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at SUNY, Stony Brook. He also taught at Wesleyan and Yale University; Amherst and Williams College; as well as the College International de Philosophie, Paris; the University of Wuppertal, Germany; and the Pacifica Graduate Institute. Casey also lectured at the C.G. Jung Institute, Zurich. He is the author of The Fate of Place: A Philosophical History; Getting Back into Place: Toward a Renewed Understanding of the Place-World; Remembering: A Phenomenological Study; and its sequel, Imagining: A Phenomenological Study.
