Rose-Emily Rothenberg is a senior Jungian analyst in private practice in Pacific Palisades, California, and a senior faculty member at the C. G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles. She has been a Jungian analyst for 40 years. Her special interests, on which she has lectured nationally and internationally, are the orphan archetype and the relationship between disease and the psyche.
Her therapeutic approach includes incorporating insights from both the outer and the inner worlds that are expressed through dreams, active imagination and creative expressions of the psyche including the spiritual dimension, which can lead one to find purpose and meaning in his/her life’s experiences. The challenge is to become conscious of one’s wholeness and to be receptive to what the psyche has to say, thereby enabling one to embody more of his or her totality.
She is the author of An Orphan’s Odyssey: Sacred Journeys to Renewal (Chiron, 2015) [https://www.amazon.com/Orphans-Odyssey-Sacred-Journeys-Renewal/dp/163051196X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1498595584&sr=8-2&keywords=rose-emily+rothenberg]
and The Jewel in the Wound: How the Body Expresses the Needs of the Psyche and Offers a Path to Transformation (Chiron, 2001) [https://chironpublications.com/shop/the-jewel-in-the-wound/], also available in Spanish and Portuguese translations.
