About the Author:James Witzig, Ph.D., was born and raised in Corvallis, Oregon. After serving in the navy during World War II, he went to Zurich in 1948 for graduate studies in psychology. There, he 'stumbled' on the newly-founded C. G. Jung Institute and has been a serious student of Jung's ever since. Over the intervening years, he practiced as a clinical psychologist and recently as a Jungian analyst in Eugene, Oregon where he currently resides. He was a founding member of the Oregon Friends of Jung and is on the faculty of the C. G. Jung Institute Pacific Northwest.
