Lori Sortino, PhD

I started my professional career as an educator after receiving a BA in Social Relations from Immaculate Heart College. I worked with special needs students in the inner city of Los Angeles for 8 years prior to receiving my MS in counseling and school psychologist credential from Cal State Los Angeles. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and parents in an educational as well as clinical setting.

As I pursued my own individuation path, I was called to study depth psychology at Pacific Graduate Institute where I received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.  I have been in private practice for over 10 years and currently have an office in Pasadena where I work with individuals, couples, children, adolescents and parents.

One of my core beliefs is that Psyche is always pulling us toward health and wholeness as we journey on our own path towards individuation. Through the course of depth psychological work, which facilitates our connection to body, soul and spirit, we are able to unearth our own narrative.  It is my commitment to provide a safe a supportive space in which to do this work.

I am committed to helping clients to discover their own narrative, by revealing patterns of behavior that block them from finding meaning and healing in their lives. I am also dedicated to assisting children and adolescents by providing a safe space in which to express their fears and anxieties while gaining insight into the mind/body connection.
