Public Programs: Winter/Spring 2018

Saturday, March 03, 2018; 10:00AM - 02:00PM

Presented by the Analytical Psychology Club

Solid Rock:
J. S. Bach's St. Matthew's Passion as a "Complex" Symbol of Self

Presented by Mark Troedson, Ph.D., M.F.T.

This musical work can be seen as an expression of what Jung took to be a central myth for understanding the Self and the individuation process in Aion and CW 11.  Dr Troedson will select and amplify from moments of this great work to provide a reflection and guide for analytic practice that should be useful for Jungian-oriented therapists and others devoted to the process of shadow work toward individuation.

Mark Troedson, Ph.D., M.F.T., is a Jungian Analyst in private practice in Encino, CA. Mark is Assistant Professor for the MA in Clinical Psychology Program and the Specialization for Spiritual and Depth Psychology at Antioch University, Los Angeles. He is on the Editorial Board for  Psychological Perspectives. He has worked with children, teens, and their families for more than 20 years.
