Psychology of the Transference, CW 16
This seminar will consist of an in-depth reading of Jung’s essay, The Psychology of the Transference, from volume 16, The Practice of Psychotherapy. As stated in the Editorial Note “this paper is the only authoritative statement from his pen of the way in which the individuation process expresses itself in the transference.” The Rosarium Philosophorum images were used by Jung to formulate his view of the transference relationship. We will study their relevance to the practice of psychotherapeutic work.
