Presented by Sheila Traviss, M.A., L.M.F.T.
Gone with the Wind, written over eighty years ago, will be explored as a cinematic field guide to the American Psyche. Clips from the film will lead our discussion into the amplification of our present day political fractures. We will explore the archetypal nature of the GWTW characters, as well as unearth some of the repetitive myths buried within the narrative. Having viewed the film or read the book is not necessary but it will enliven our open floor discussion.
Sheila Traviss, M.A., L.M.F.T., is a psychotherapist in private practice and a candidate in the analyst training program at the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles. She holds degrees in sociology, political science, and is a graduate of the Ensemble of Stanislavski Theatre Artists.
